Movie Review - Krrish, Fanaa and Phir Hera Pheri

Movie Review - Krrish, Fanaa and Phir Hera Pheri

This weekend I sat on the couch catching up with a few 'extravagantly hyped' movies on local cable, namely Krrish, Fanaa and Phir Hera Pheri. Here is how I rated them -

Krrish movie review hrithik roshan priyanka chopra Krrish - 5/10 - basically for 'trying' to make a CGI film in India and Naseeruddin Shah's acting. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, this flick is a sequel to 'Koi Mil Gaya' ( I Found Somebody). Hrithik plays a double role - of Krrish the superhero and Krishh's dad - the retard from the previous movie. The action scenes and dialogues are as usual a blatant copy of scenes from Hollywood films like Spiderman, Matrix and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Lesson to be learnt - average actors cannot succeed in the complex role of a disabled person without looking downright weird !

fanaa movie review aamir khan kajol Fanaa ( lost in love) - 2/10 - for Aamir Khan's jerkish behaviour and contrived jokes throughout the film. The only redeeming part was Kajol's acting and the fact that she kills Aamir in the end. Most annoying was Aamir trying to put down Salman Khan by the jokes on the junior artiste who imitated the 'Radhey' character from the Salman film 'Tere Naam'. The songs though were singable. Lesson to be learnt - copying shayari as dialogue does not make a script !

phir hera pheri movie review akshay kumar suneil shetty paresh rawal bipasha basuPhir Hera Pheri (more fraud) - 4/10 - for Rajpal Yadav's facial expressions, the acting of the 'Gorilla' character and the circus sequence at the end. A sequel to the movie 'Hera Pheri' this movie is about the characters that became rich in part one being cheated of everything they own by a chit scam and their attempts to recover their money. I did'nt see the comedy through most of the movie, Infact Akshay Kumar was downright irritating, Suniel Shetty boring and Paresh Rawal repetitive.

Did you think so too ?

  1. i thought krish was a decent attempt; 1st half was boring but latter half was ok; somehow it fell thro' bcoz of the typical indian requirement for a combo pack of song n dance sequences plus comedy plus action; so story took a back seat many times.

  2. hey.. those reviews are nice and to the point.

I liked Krissh.. bcs i relly like anything that Hrithik Roshan does and he does have that certain something.

    Fanaa was DEFINITELY a dissapointment.

Phir Hera Pheri, I did not see.. for obvious reasons..

  5. Now U have spoken like a true critic..Downright butcherous..hehe...Well I havent seen Kkrish..so Cant say anythin about it..But Fanaa I likyy..coz I like Aamir..Kajol Lukd stunning..though the part about A Kashmiri girl ( Kajol ) calling her mother to tell bout Aamir..and her mother in return tellig her to go fall in love, was absolute nuisance, considering how conservative the Kashmiris are, and that too Muslims..Also the scenes and the plot were not very well thought out, with Aamir, by a miracle, happening to crawl his way upto Kajol'shouse..Wollaa!!!Otherwise the movie was fast paced, so I liked it..hehe
About Phir hera Pheri..Itotally agree..P.Rawal was repetitive..Sunil Shetty ws no revelation..his usual boring self..the extremely under-witty guy that I found him during Great Indian Laughter challenge episode..He proved me right..I cant say anythin bout Akshay coz I like'em ..and I thought He was the one who was holding the story together with Rajpal..
    Cheers
