Spent the day switching between sports channels - the teams I supported did'nt do too badly though.

1. Hockey - watched India beat New Zealand 3-2 for the bronze medal at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Kuala Lumpur. India finally got a medal after 5 years. The sardar from Chandigarh Dynamos played well and also that guy Hari who put in two majestic goals. In the finals, Holland gave Australia a taste of their own medicine by thrashing them 6-2.

2. Formula One, Canadian Grand Prix - Schumacher qualified in 5th, had a bad start and was running in 8th. Luck favoured him, and due to the safety car coming out twice, he managed the second place on the podium. Alonso, of course won again.....yawn.

3. Football - England vs Ecquador. David Beckham bent the ball into the goal silencing his British critics. However, the Portugal vs Netherlands game was more entertaining mainly for the pushing and tripping on the field - in which 4 players were sent off.

4. Cricket, 3rd Test in the West Indies - Brian Lara did not force India to follow on even though India were all out with 20 more runs needed. Harbhajan Singh's four 4's in an over at the end of the innings were quite surprising - too bad Munaf Patel got out at the other end.

Cheap easy cure for HIV AIDS - a look at the HIV AIDS Hoax or Conspiracy

How do AIDS patients get 'cured' ? First of all, flush the toxic medicines down the toilet - you are not sick , you don't need them. Regain your health by eating and sleeping well, regular exercise and meditation. 'Believe' that you are well. AIDS is a scam.

How does the 'AIDS Scam' work ?
It is a simple example of how politics is played. First a 'crisis' is created - an incurable disease called AIDS. Propaganda is spread - its causes are unprotected sex, shared syringes, transfusions .......a virus destroys the immune system etc. Then, someone comes up with an expensive solution - ARV drugs. All this is publicized to create a fear psychosis. New organizations come up to deal with this 'issue' - NACO, UNAIDS, local NGO's. Thy need funds to continue their existence. So, they make the 'issue' seem worse than it is - by (a) unreliable statistics - where 90 percent of deaths are 'estimated' (imaginary) (b) statements like " there is no cure today......maybe in the future...so give us more money". This brainwashes people who get so freaked out that 'death is near' they start spending money, which ultimately ends up in the pockets of large pharma companies and politicians.

When compared to other diseases, common sense proves there's something fishy going on.
1. It is historically undocumented. It came up over the last 30 years out of nowhere.
2. All diseases have a symptom - either a fever, pain, swellings, cold, cough, pain, rashes or discolourations. Aids has no symptoms of its own but because of the " destroys immune system, patients can die of anything" theory - every illness could be AIDS.
3. Illnesses have a time period during which a person may either get well or die ( 1 week - 5 years). Whereas, for Aids, people have been living on for 10-20 years.

What is HIV / AIDS virus then ? Are you trying to say it does not exist ?
The HIV virus is a retro virus. Retroviruses exist in different amounts at different times in a person's body. Some have no known function while some help in functions like the growth of babies in the womb. Some, like HIV can cause deadly diseases in animals like monkeys etc. but are harmless in the human body. Any random person can have this virus and test positive for HIV.

Why are people testing positive ?
Almost everyone gets sick atleast once/twice a year. Those who have never had sex, done drugs or had a transfusion would never think of taking a HIV test. Only, those with a guilty concience ( hookers, their customers, druggies and homos) get so freaked out that they may be dying, that they take the test to make sure. Of course, then some may test positive while others with high risk behaviour don't. The doctors then prescribe costly harmful drugs to 'delay' their death. By now they are so terrified they can't think straight - they blindly do as they are told and keep shelling out money with the hope that sometime in the future ' a cure' will be found.

How reliable are AIDS tests ?
They are an unreliable lie. Many test positive in some centres and negative in others. Also, all HIV tests carry disclaimers that say the test can’t be used to diagnose HIV positiveness.

Then why are so many people dying ?They are dying from the toxic Anti retro viral drugs prescribed to them. These drugs come with a list of side effects which are identical to the symptoms for AIDS. Basically, these ARV drugs destroy the immune system over a period of time which makes a patient prone to local diseases like tuberculosis, malaria etc. Anyway people in Africa/Asia have a low life expectancy - many usually die of TB, Malaria or Jaundice before the age of 40. In addition to this, if they are made to believe they are dying of a 'fake' terminal illness and given poisonous drugs, then obviously they'll die within 5-10 years..

What proof do you have ? If this is true then why are top scientists and the media silent ?
Many top scientists have said that (a) there is almost no proof that AIDS is a transmitted disease (b) HIV virus has never been isolated. (c) HIV tests are unreliable (d) usually the person is suffering from a common ailment. Those who dare to speak out are termed nutsy, weirdos, eccentric (sunky) and their jobs/funding is taken away. The press is just too too overworked/ underpaid/inexperienced to look into the details of the press releases they are given. Plus, they would never want to annoy their advertisers - Pharma companies.

Bill Gates and Bill Clinton are donating so much money for AIDS ? Why ?
Corporates donate for tax benefits. Research, advertising and sales promotion are disguised as charity. In this case, research would mean testing new toxic drugs on gullible people. Advertising would be making posters, pamphlets, ad spots, films, statistics, surveys and paying celebrities for endorsements. Sales promotion would include distributing free condoms, syringes, HIV testing kits, free ARV drugs as samples and hiring of sales agents (social workers) to sell products and services would also be provided at high rates of interest to patients.

What could a computer company or ex president of America gain ?
Bill Gates Foundation has shares worth billions in pharma companies like Merck, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, etc. that make medicines for AIDS and related diseases lie TB and Malaria, and stands to gain from their profits. Bill Clinton and George W Bush's main aim is to get Pharma companies to fund the election campaigns of their wife and brother respectively.

Why is the Indian Government doing nothing ? Should'nt we inform them ?
No, they know about the AIDS Scam. Manmohan Singh only talks about 'combating AIDS' at meetings where Bush or foreign officials are present. This is done to appease them so that they agree to various deals. If he ever makes a statement about a 'Conspiracy', then America will impose strong sanctions like stopping trade, closing industries, jobs would be lost, markets would plunge and ultimately the Congress would lose power.

Congress relies on a wait and watch policy - hopes nature will intervene and solve the problem. In this case, they are relying on (a) Pandits, fakirs, imams, sadhus to spread the HIV scam theory by word of mouth - which is how I first heard about it. (b) The popularity of Ayurveda and Homeopathy.

I Could'nt believe my ears when I first heard a friend say, "yeh AIDS-waids sab bekaar ki cheez hai" (AIDS is a nonsense thing). Checking on it, I was shocked to find out it was true. If the life of even one person is saved by this post, I'll know my efforts were worth it.

Photography Tips - avoiding common mistakes

Have you ever felt disappointed when your photo prints did'nt look as great as when you first shot them ? I have, and this list is a result of the numerous dud's I've laughed at while viewing countless photo albums. So whether you have a simple automatic camera or just can't be bothered to adjust the focus/ exposure/ lens on your hi-fi digital camera - these tips will get you those elusive 'show -offable' photos.

1. Over exposed Pictures -
(a) Daylight entering through an open window behind the subject - Either close all windows, draw the curtains, change the angle to avoid the window or shift to another location.
(b) A white monument glowing behind the subject - this happens if the subject is in the shade and the monument in the sun. You should either move the subject into the sunlight and use a flash or get him to pose on the side of the building that is in shade.
(c) Subject standing under trees in blobs of sun and shade - use a flash and move close.
(d) White person wearing black or black person in white - change the outfit to offwhite/dark blue or pose them before a neutral background like a green garden etc.

2. Under exposed Photos
(a) The city lights that looked awesome in the night showed up as a black background - The flash covers only a certain area of maybe 3 meters. If its dark, always come as close as possible to the background.
(b) The beautiful sea at dusk is undistinguishable - Never wait for it to get that dark. Even if you can clearly see around you, the details will never show up on film even with a flash. This is also true for rock concerts and sporting events held under lights outdoors.

3. Bad Lighting
(a)Your friend looks old and wrinkly, drugged or shiny - Mornings, evenings and cloudy days give the best natural lighting. If you just have to shoot at midday either shoot in the shade or use a flash.
(b) Lens Flare/ Silhouette - To avoid this, make sure the sun is behind the camera so that the subject's face is well lighted. If the subject starts squinting in the light, move him a bit to the side.
(c) Always use the flash indoors, in shadowy areas or at night.

4. Other Mistakes -
(a) Body/head half cut off - Always hold the camera at eye level of the subject especially for kids or pets. Bend down to get shots of the subject sitting on the floor, lying on the beach etc. Never ask your Granny with Arthritis or Back pain to click such photos - they will invariably come out cut off or lopsided.
(b) Tilted Shots - always hold the camera either horizontally or vertically - use the horizon as a guide to make sure the camera is straight.
(c) Strap of camera / thumb coming in the frame, poles/plants growing from people's head - Pay Attention while shooting.

5. Embarassing Photos -
(a) Strangers frozen in the background making weird actions - don't be in a hurry, wait for them to move off, ask them to move or try from a different angle.
(b) Get your friends/family to pose and smile - If a few are being spoiltsports, don't make the other's wait an eternity as you try to change thier mind. The party poopers are usually either having a bad hairday, no makeup, wrong outfit or some personal feud and you can probably take a picture of them later, if needed.
(c) Beware of towels, underwear lying around the room that may come in the frame - tidy the room or dump stuff in the opposite corner.
(d) Friends making funny faces in the photo or stuffing their mouth with food - you'll laugh but regret it later when the prints prove they are not that adorable. These photos usually end up being torn or hidden for life. Don't waste the film.
(e) Posing on a beach with tourists sunbathing in the nude in the background or photos that show you or your friend as a pervert / or a loser - Ditto as point d - don't waste the film. ( ok maybe one or two at the beach )

6. Lopsided photos without a subject - Driving on a highway, you looked out the window and could'nt resist a shot of the beautiful valley / sunset - Always park the car, get out, see you have a subject (a person, yourself, a building , a tree...anything) before the background, aim and then shoot.

7. Subject's face is a tiny dot - Subject should be at the most 3 metres away from the camera. If the monument behind is too wide for the frame, move the camera and your friend forward till they both fit in the frame. Cut out large expanses of sky or sand that don't add anything to the picture while framing your shot.

8. Blurry Faces - if the subject is too close (maybe 1 metre) to the camera - Move the camera back or the subject forward.

9. Rain - you end up with round transparent white circles on the print because of tiny water droplets on the lens. If its raining, remember to wipe the camera with a soft lint free cloth and get someone to hold an umbrella over you.

10. Reflections - beware of mirror, glass, clear lakes and other reflective surfaces.
(a) Reflection of you holding the camera - avoided by paying attention and changing the angle of the camera.
(b) Reflection of the Flash going off in a mirror behind the subject - ditto
(c) Photo which has a shadow of you holding the camera - ditto

Following these simple tips will ensure nobody repeats the same dumb, avoidable mistakes. You know, everything cannot be fixed with Photoshop. Happy Clicking !

Michael Schumacher at Silverstone

The most interesting part of the race was the pit-stop race strategy by the Ferrari team. Michael Schumacher overtook Kimi Raikkonen by pitting a lap before him to take second place. Fernando Alonso, as usual lead from pole to chequered flag - I'm waiting for the day he has a 'did not finish' to his name. Fiscichella was fourth, Felipe Massa fifth, Montoya sixth, Heidfeld seventh and Jacques Villeneuve in eight place. Next race is in Canada on the 25th and I'm hoping Schumacher will steal some points from Alonso.

2006 FIFA World Cup - Predictions

I still remember the first time I played football. We were a group of 50 girls, screaming and shoving each other as we tried to get a glimpse of the lone soccer ball somewhere in the centre of our flying limbs. The ball would suddenly shoot out, landing among the beds of Roses and Chrysanthamums as the gardener shook his fist in annoyance. On the fringes of the herd, I was really excited to see the ball finally heading my way. As it neared me, rolling at full speed, I shut my eyes and put my foot out hoping it would connect and go somewhere near the goal. Instead, all I could felt was searing pain as my toes were hammered into my ankles by the speed of the l. As it was an all -girls school, I got many more chances to play football instead of just serving drinks or being a cheerleader, which was a very good thing.
