We welcome the rich and famous to the 2006 - 2007 Indian Bollywood Film Awards on the red carpet of cyberspace as they arrive at the grand hall of meowlife.blogspot.com for a gala evening of some of showbiz's best. Who will be deserving enough to take home a golden Cyberkitty statuette ? Our host Cyberkitty takes you through this year's list of winners at the 2006 Indian Bollywood Film Awards.

Cyberkitty : As the year ends, it's time for me to announce the winners of the 2006 - 2007 Bollywood Film Awards of India. First the boring ones -

Achievement in Cinematography - Sudeep Chatterjee for Dor

Best Visual Effects - X-Men 3 The Last Stand ( Just could not give this award to a low down Hindi film)

Achievement in costume design - Ahista Ahista

Achievement in film editing - Shirish Kunder for Jaan-e-mann

Achievement in choreography - Ganesh Acharya for 36 Chinatown

Achievement in makeup - Jaan-e-mann for Salman Khan's variety of disguises.

Adapted screenplay - Shyam Goel for 36 China Town

Achievement in music - Pritam for Gangster

And now for the Bollywood Film Awards you have all been waiting for.

Performance by an actress in a leading role - Kareena Kapoor for Chup Chup Ke

Performance by an actress in a supporting role - can't think of anyone who deserves it.

Performance by an actor in a leading role - Salman Khan for Jaan-e-mann

Performance by an actor in a supporting role - Rajpal Yadav for all his movies this year ( 5 )

Best Acting Debut - Upen Patel for 36 China Town

Best foreign language film of the year - Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest

Movie That Should Have Been India's Entry For The Hollywood Oscars - Yun Hota To Kya Hota

Achievement in Direction - Abbas-Mastan for 36 China Town

Best Motion Picture of the Year - Arty - Dor

Best Motion Picture of the Year - Commercial - 36 China Town

Only, the films I have seen this year were eligible for a Cyberkitty award. As you may have noticed there is no award for original screenplay or original music score - this is because all Indian bollywood films are copied, plagiarised or inspired by either a novel, foreign film, old movie or regional flick.

Here are some dishonourable mentions (Cyberkitty Razzies)

Worst Actress - Rani Mukherjee for overreacting and showing extreme emotions.

Worst Actor - Abhishek Bachchan for Bluffmaster, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom and whichever other movie he spoilt.

Worst Script - Don

Worst Director - Karan Johar for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna

Worst Movie - Rang De Basanti

So, what do you think ??

  8. u are an ass to think that Rani Mukherjee was the worst actress. That dumb ass Kareena Kapoor could be the worst or even Aishwarya Rai. I therefore totally disagree with u.
